Faith is the key that opens heavens door.

#1  Intellectual assent.  Knowing and accepting the facts is not enough.  Most  people believe that George Washington lived and was the first president of the United States... but no one alive today KNOWS him personally.  It is not enough to accept the facts about God, you must have a personal relationship with Him.

#2  Temporal faith.  Trusting God for temporary crisis is not enough.  We may even pray to God.  Many trust him for financial needs, or health needs, or relationship needs.  Now this is a good thing.  We should pray and trust God when in crisis.  And when the crisis is over we should thank Him.  No matter how great it is to trust God for temporal earthly matters it is far different than trusting in Christ for eternal life!

     Saving Faith is trusting in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life.  It means depending on Christ ALONE and what he has done rather than in any good deeds you have done or good character you have.

     The question God is asking you right now is... "Would you like to receive the gift of eternal life?"  If that is what you would like to do, if you would like to transfer your trust from what you have been doing to what Christ has done for you... if you would like to receive him as Savior and confess him as Lord - Creator of the universe... if you would like to admit you are a sinner and turn to God for forgiveness, you can go to God in prayer right where you are and receive his gift of eternal life.  Here's a suggested prayer:
 
 

     "...with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation... for whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."  Romans 10:10, 13
