Read God's Word daily

     Success or failure in the Christian life is dependent on how much of the Bible you get into your mind on a regular basis and how obedient you are to it.  Everything you need to know about God is in the bible.  Everything you need to grow spiritually strong is found in the Bible.  Everything you need to know about how to live successfully is in the Bible.  Everyone's questions are answered in the Bible:
 

How can I know God?
What does God want me to do with my life?
How can I find happiness?
How can I handle my finances wisely?
How should I raise my children?
How should I choose my marriage partner?

     When you read the Bible, read  in a spirit of eagerness which seeks the mind of God.  Read in a spirit of humility which listens for the voice of God.  Read in the spirit of adventure which pursues earnestly the will of God.  Read in the spirit of adoration which rests in the presence of God!

Daily 
listen for God's message, whispered to you from the pages of His Word

     God speaks today... are you listening?  You have to know how to listen.  The Bible is God's letter of love to you.  Read it daily.  Read it from cover to cover.  Read it over and over.  If you have never read it before begin in the book of John, continue through to the end and then begin at the beginning.  The whole book has a message for you. It is fresh daily.

Begin your reading with with prayer - ask God to speak to you
Read the passage with pencil in hand - write down what you think God is saying to you
Meditate on it - think it through... pray over it... ask God for wisdom
Obey its message to you - once you know what God wants you to do DO IT!

    If you spend as little as 15 minutes in study a day, in six months you will be a changed person!

Weekly
Listen for God's message, spoken from the pulpit of His Church

     God uses various ways to speak to us.  One of them is through his messengers.  Find a Bible teaching, Bible believing church and come prepared to listen and learn.  Attend consistently.  Do not miss for anything other than an emergency or an important family event.  Place everything else aside so that you can meet with God and grow to serve Him.  Attend a weekly class, like Sunday School or Bible Study as well as the Morning Worship Service. 

Regularly
Study for answers to perplexing questions you have

     Whenever you have questions God has answers.  If you wonder how to discipline your children, take extra time to search the Word and apply its truths.  Whatever your question - finances, love, guidance, questionable things... search the scriptures.  Find a concordance and a commentary and begin your search for Bible Truths so you can live your life God's way.  A good online Bible Search Engine  and Commentary is...
